So I have a respectable American Girl Doll collection. I had a previous closet storage solution my dad built for me a few years back. Unfortunately, my home flooded, and the closet was destroied. I loved having the outfits hanging in the closet. The previous closet didn't have doors, which was nice because I was able to quickly find what I needed in it.
I looked around online to find something that I liked, but I quickly realized there was going to be some level of DIY involced. Most AG storage solutions assume your a child(or parent of a child) who has a doll or two and a handful of outfits. I've long surpased that with 11 dolls.
For the new closet, I purchased a billy shelf from Ikea and two set of doors. I also decided to wallpaper the inside if the cabinet.
