About

Welcome to my Haunted Dreamhouse. This is where I post things about collecting and making things for different types of dolls. I primarily collect Barbie, American Girl, and 1/3 scale Ball Jointed Dolls (BJDs), so most of the information on this site will be about these dolls. They aren't the only dolls in my collection, so don't be surprised if other dolls appear at a later date!

The internet of my youth used to be full of free information that was created out of a labor of love and not to make a profit. My mindset for this website is the same. I love dolls and want to share my knowledge with other doll collectors and creators.

No part of this website was created using LLM ("AI") tools. This site was designed to be view on a desktop or laptop.

Fan Listings and Directories

Updates

7/21/26 Today, I continued to tweak the layout, including adding the site menu to other pages on the site. I also wrote up the directions for the Barbie Maxi Dress, and began writing up directions for the hexagon cardigan. I added a picture for my About Me page, and I continued to chug away at the doll collecting dictionary. I'm telling myself that I can't add any more words until I finish defining the ones that are in there already.

7/20/26 I added a few more potential fanlistings to the page. I also got the Where to Buy Doll Clothes and Free Sewing Patterns by Others to a more complete, less drafty state. I started added in other pages that are works in progress, and typed up a good chunk of the maxidress sewing instructions. I also got the layout to a point were its acceptable.

7/19/26 The site layout is at least partially up on the pages on the site. The link section is not included because I'm not quite ready to add it yet. My web development skills are a little rusty. Back in the day, I would just use php include to put the menus on my sites. Unfortunately, NeoCities doesn't have php features. I could use frames, but I've never been a huge fan. I remember finding them kind of dated as a kid in like 2003. I'll have to browse around and see how other people have done that. I'm continueing to tweak the layout. I'm telling myself to not start working on any new pages until the ones that are up are presentable, but we'll see.

7/18/26 I spent a lot of time working on the site layout today. I started putting up the different fanlistings I plan to join as well.

7/17/26 I created a chart that displays information about American Girl doll face molds.

7/9/26 Despite not posting updateds, I've been continuing to work on the Doll Collecting Dictionary. Writing it has been a little hydra-y, but it'll get done eventually. I've also done some work on the CSS. I have changed the original background color (black) to a very dark gray. I also changed the text from pink to pastel purple. The menu bar is starting to take shape, but I'm still not thrilled with the colors/ palette. I'm leaving it until I'm more satistified with the general structure/shape of the layout. Colors are pretty easy to change.

7/5/26 Today I linked the Doll Collecting Dictionary and the Where to Buy Doll Clothes to the main page. Both pages are still heavily under construction. I also have been doing a lot of "behind the scenes" type work so we can get this website's layout out of the early 90s. (Holy shit, I can't believe how much css I forgot!) I also added an About section above this part.

7/4/26 Continued working on established pages. Started a doll clothing page.

7/3/26 Site created. I mostly worked on the main page and started the doll dictionary. Some items linked are already written, just on an old laptop.
